Mark Code Help

		In the Release data there are mark codes stored in four different fields: cwt_1st_mark, cwt_2nd_mark, non_cwt_1st_mark, and non_cwt_2nd_mark. The Releases query forms combine these four underlying fields into a single box named Mark Codes. In other words, you can enter a mark code in the Mark Codes box and RMIS will search all four fields in the Release data to find matches for you.

		In the Recovery data there are mark codes stored in two different fields: recorded_mark and sampled_mark. The Recoveries query forms only allow searching on the recorded_mark field.

		The pop-up window gives you two choices for selecting the mark codes you want to include in your query: 1) a short list of Fin Marks that you can combine with AND or OR logic to construct a list of mark codes, or 2) a longer list of all Mark Codes that allows you to select as many or as few codes as you want. You can switch back and forth between these two lists by clicking on the link at the top of the pop-up window.

After you have made your choices, click on the Close button and your chosen codes will be displayed in the Query Form.
